Definition

These are the people who are most eager to try out new things. These are the users that bet and test out a new product. These enthusiastic customers are essentially the first group to adopt a new product.

How is it useful?

These types of users are either passionate about the domain (example: technology) or the problem at hand that the firm is trying to solve. Hence, they provide valuable feedback. These are also the users who spread word of mouth.
Early minority & early majority are the next 2 groups who pick up the product once it’s adopted & approved by the early adopters.

Example

When Nothing Phone(1) was launched, it was the 1st phone device that the company launched. Hence, it contained a lot of issues with regard to its software. But the set of users who are technology geeks still went out & purchased the phone. Their passion acts as a self-motivation for them to try out the new brand/technology. They’re willing & ready-to-use products with lags & bugs.
