Self Employed

I have taught hundreds of students and numerous interns, founders, and marketers. I have also conducted specialized digital marketing training programs for a diverse audience, including NGO professionals, government agencies, entrepreneurs, business owners, and freelancers. 

In collaboration with CSRBOX, I led a one-month program for marketing teams from 23 leading NGOs and institutions. At Kool Kanya, I conducted an intensive 12-day fast-track course for 184 participants and a dedicated SEO workshop for small businesses and freelancers. During the first COVID lockdown, I offered a free 12-part digital marketing course, equipping 80 participants with essential skills,  available on YouTube. Additionally, I was honored to be a guest lecturer at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, where I taught international business students a full-semester course on digital marketing fundamentals.

I am humbled to have made an impact on the lives of my students, whether it’s helping them start their careers in marketing, freelancing, assisting with business growth, or even achieving a promotion.

Rotimatic

The legendary Rotimatic, the world’s first fully automatic roti maker, had near-total brand awareness in its core audience of affluent Indian-origin households. It needed to grow revenue across 44 countries, including the major markets of the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and India, where it had been newly launched. As Head of Marketing, my team and I took on this challenge, delivering record revenue by building and optimizing multi-channel acquisition funnels, engagement strategies, platform improvements and rebranding, conversion rate optimization, and LTV initiatives. I built a marketing team in India, transitioning the function from Singapore, hiring, training, and mentoring a lean but high-impact team, consolidating functions managed by external agencies and freelancers to optimize marketing budgets. The small team, supported by freelancers, excelled in marketing operations, managing a large performance marketing function and overseeing GTMs for a hectic campaign calendar. We built new acquisition channels, including a referral/affiliate program, and drove CRO initiatives to enhance conversion rates. We implemented a full-funnel SEO strategy, dominating rankings with high-quality, EEAT-style content that continues to perform well in traditional SERP listings and dominates GenAI answer results.

Kool Kanya

At Kool Kanya, my team and I helped create a 150 K-strong community of women to help them build careers they love. Trained and managed the team, taking care of performance marketing of educational online products and upskilling products using Instagram/FB, LinkedIn, and Google ads. Created and nurtured a marketing funnel to raise awareness about Kool Kanya products to new audiences and engage people already aware of us, leading to a drastic reduction in conversion cost. Seamless management of marketing of at least 3 online courses/educational events per month by coordination between the course, content, and design teams and running ads to meet ROAS targets. Created a continuous improvement, testing, and data-driven culture for conversion rate optimization of landing pages, some of which even converted at above 70% conversion rates. Helped develop the Kool Kanya community (a social media website) and a freelance marketplace (an e-commerce marketplace website) in coordination with the UX and tech teams.

Josh Talks

My experience at Josh Talks helped me gain insights into how Bharat, the other India, consumes content online and their learning and development needs. I trained and mentored a high-impact team of nine marketers, content creators, and creatives that built a career guidance platform, executed a brand identity revamp, and unlocked monetization through partnerships. We built India’s leading career guidance platform in the Indian vernacular, aimed at a tier 2/3 and rural audience. We produced authoritative and engaging content optimized through behavioral analytics, which ranked in Google search results for competitive career-related queries, attracting millions of engaged users and propelling the site into the top 5,000 websites in India (according to Alexa ratings). The team managed a high-volume social media calendar across four channels with 30K followers and supervised 20 interns, mentoring them to create nearly 50 videos on careers and business, contributing to the YouTube channel's growth to 100K subscribers.

3 Minds Digital

As an intern with the 3M occupational health and environmental safety division, I did product development market research for a line of personal protective equipment for North India. I spent nearly two months interviewing dozens of safety product dealers, competitors, organizational safety heads/managers, and contract manufacturers. I compiled a report on the market landscape, which I presented to the division's top brass and was appreciated for my thorough research and valuable insights.

Honeywell International

Led an 8-member technical team that supported licensed security professionals in the U.S. and Canada in installing and maintaining over 15,000 Honeywell security products, including Intrusion Alarm Systems, Fire Panels, Sensors, and GSM/IP Alarm Communicators. I trained multiple groups through a rigorous six-month program and mentored numerous technicians. Received various awards for team and individual achievements as a top performer. I had the honor of being one of only two in a team of fifty who was presented with an appreciation award by the United States team for process excellence and product knowledge.

Friends and family often recommend me to big and small business owners for advice on their marketing strategies. This is how I started building a side gig as a marketing consultant. 

I have advised all kinds of businesses, notably a B2B customer engagement platform, a wealth management fintech, a popular D2C brand, a business consulting firm, a medical goods importer, a jeweler, a film production house, a custom fashion boutique, a children's fashion online store, an immigrant consultant, a training company in Canada, an online t-shirt store in the UK, an L&D trainer, a food stylist and several bloggers and YouTube creators.
