Research under the supervision of Dr. Richard Leahy at USC-Electrical Engineering Dept.
• Successfully made use of 7T MRI scans of the Brains for performing Brain Extraction, Surface Volume Registration, Bias-Field Correction using BrianSuite Software.
• Effectively analyzed the efficiency and the problems in the software when working with high-resolution 7T scans.
• The most challenging part of the project was Bias-Field Correction. To overcome this challenge we used manual bias field correction along with iterative approach.
• Effectively made use of OpenCV in C++ to remove blood vessels from the MRI scans using InPainting Technique.
