Product

A learning, event and community path for people who build and own products.

This path is for people who work in product

Who can use this feature?

Requires an active GrowthX membership.

Check your GrowthX membership.

This path is for product managers and product thinkers who want to understand how their product grows, not just how it is built. It also suits people preparing for a product role, including technical and AI product roles.

The guide follows the order most product people find useful:

  1. Start with Advanced Growth Strategy, GrowthX's flagship growth course.
  2. Go deeper with the courses on growth models, data and working with engineering.
  3. Use the product role guides in Elevate if you are preparing for your next role.
  4. Watch a handful of product deep dives.
  5. Join events where product people work cases and build things.

The courses are recorded and self-paced, so you can fit them around your job. Pick the part that matches the decision in front of you and come back for the rest.

What you need: Advanced Growth Strategy, the longer courses and Elevate are part of GrowthX membership. Events list their own access rules on each event page.

Start with Advanced Growth Strategy

Advanced Growth Strategy is GrowthX's flagship growth course. It is recorded and self-paced. It covers how to acquire users, onboard them, keep them engaged and make money from them, and how to build a growth process around it.

The chapters that matter most for product

  • Onboarding: how new users reach value. This is where most product decisions about activation sit.
  • Engagement and Retention: why users come back, or do not.
  • Monetisation: how the product makes money, so you can weigh pricing and packaging decisions.

Then cover Acquisition so you understand how users reach your product in the first place.

Go deeper with the product courses

After Advanced Growth Strategy, take these in order.

  1. Growth Model Design: learn how to break down your North Star metric into input levers and prioritise them.
  2. Data Led Growth: learn root cause analysis (RCA) and experimentation design.
  3. Tech for Growth: learn to ship better products with engineering and take informed trade-offs.

Short courses for single problems

Prepare for your next product role in Elevate

If you are moving into product or aiming for a bigger role, use Elevate. Members can open it from the Elevate dashboard.

  • Product Manager: see what PMs do and how to crack the role.
  • AI Product Manager: shape ML-powered features and see what AI PM interviews look for.
  • Technical Product Manager: see how technical PMs work with engineers. For interview preparation, use Crack Product roles.
  • Crack Product roles: interview preparation, including product sense, metrics, product improvement, guesstimates, root cause analysis, and behavioural rounds.
  • Build Proof of Work: build a piece of work that shows how you think, then distribute it.

Full-time roles at ₹12 LPA or more are posted in #post-a-job. You are already in it.

Watch these product deep dives

Deep dives are recorded sessions with operators. Start with these:

Pick the one closest to a decision you are making this month. Watch it, then write down one thing you will test.

Work cases and build at events

Open Events and look through the AI and In person tabs for what is coming up. Past events shows the formats that have run before, so you know what to look out for.

  • Case study sessions: work a real product case as a group.
  • Hands-on AI workshops for PMs: guided builds, such as sessions on using Claude skills as a PM.
  • Buildathons for non-coders: some one-day buildathons are aimed at PMs who have always wanted to build something, such as building a browser game from prompts.
  • Small-table conversations: a curated group discussing one topic.

Open an event and choose Register. Some events need host approval. Until the host responds, the event shows Pending Approval.

To bring your product thinking into building, see Build Sprint, GrowthX's current building programme.

Your first two weeks

Week 1

  1. Open Advanced Growth Strategy and finish the Onboarding chapter.
  2. Watch Mastering product strategy.
  3. Register for one product event on Events.

Week 2

  1. Move on to the Engagement and Retention chapter.
  2. Start Growth Model Design and map your product's North Star metric to its input levers.
  3. If you are job hunting, open the Product Manager guide and check #post-a-job for open roles.

Keep your notes on one real product problem as you go. That problem is what makes the lessons stick.

Patience—you’re about to be impressed.
