Marketing

A T-shaped path: breadth across marketing functions, depth in the specialities you choose.

This path is for people who work in marketing

Who can use this feature?

Requires an active GrowthX membership.

This path is for marketers who want to work on growth beyond campaigns: brand, performance, content, creative, product marketing and AI in marketing. It also suits people preparing for a product marketing or digital marketing role.

The path is T-shaped:

  • The horizontal bar is breadth. You learn enough about each marketing function to work well with the people who own it.
  • The vertical bar is depth. You go deep in one or two specialities that you choose.

Start with Advanced Growth Strategy for the growth foundations. Then build the bar across functions, choose your depth, and use events to practise with other marketers. The courses are recorded and self-paced.

What you need: Advanced Growth Strategy, the longer courses and Elevate are part of GrowthX membership. Events list their own access rules on each event page.

Start with Advanced Growth Strategy

Advanced Growth Strategy is GrowthX's flagship growth course. It is recorded and self-paced. It covers how to acquire users, onboard them, keep them engaged and make money from them.

The chapters that matter most for marketing

  • Acquisition: the chapter with the most lessons. It covers channels, your ideal customer profile (ICP), organic growth, content loops, referral and market size.
  • Onboarding: what happens after your campaign lands a user.
  • Engagement and Retention: why users stay, so your acquisition spend is not wasted.

The Monetisation chapter is useful when you own pricing or offers.

Build breadth across marketing functions

Build depth in one or two specialities

The vertical bar of your T. Choose one or two specialities, finish the entry point above, then take what sits behind it.

Preparing for a role? The Digital Marketing Manager guide covers planning and running campaigns across channels. Crack Marketing roles covers the interview rounds.

Watch these marketing deep dives

Deep dives are recorded sessions with operators. One pick per function:

Watch the one in your chosen speciality first. Then watch one outside it to widen the bar of your T.

Practise at marketing events

Open Events and look through the AI and In person tabs for what is coming up. Past events shows the formats that have run before, so you know what to look out for.

  • AI ads build events: make AI ads from a real product in a few hours, then get structured feedback. They are aimed at founders, growth and performance marketers, and creative strategists.
  • Case study sessions: work a real marketing case as a group.
  • Small-table conversations: a curated group discussing one topic, such as B2C growth, performance and brand.
  • Marketing learning sessions: talks and workshops on marketing topics, such as product marketing and personal brand.

Open an event and choose Register. Some events need host approval. Until the host responds, the event shows Pending Approval.

Looking for a new role? Full-time roles at ₹12 LPA or more are posted in #post-a-job. You are already in it.

Your first two weeks

Week 1: start the bar

  1. Open Advanced Growth Strategy and work through the Acquisition chapter.
  2. Take AI Skills 2026: Marketing. It is short.
  3. Register for one marketing event on Events.

Week 2: choose your depth

  1. Pick the function closest to your work and start its entry-point course from the table above.
  2. Add one short course behind it, such as Paid Marketing for acquisition or Brand attribution for brand.
  3. Watch one deep dive from a function you know least.

Come back to the table every few weeks and add one more function to the bar.

Patience—you’re about to be impressed.
